Add my email to Gmail on Android
Step 5 of the Set up my Professional Email series.
Add your Professional Email account to Gmail for Android. Then you can send and receive business emails from your Android device.
- Open the Gmail app.
- If you're new to Gmail, tap Add an email address.
- If you already have Gmail with another email account, tap Account > Add another account.
- If you're new to Gmail, tap Add an email address.
- On the Set up email screen, tap Other.
- Enter your email and tap Next.
- Select Personal (IMAP) for the account type. (Although Personal POP can work, these instructions use IMAP.)
- Enter your Password and tap Next.
- Edit the Incoming Server name to imap.secureserver.net and tap Next.
- Edit the Outgoing SMPT server name to smtpout.secureserver.net and tap Next.
- Select your Account options and tap Next.
- Update your Account name and Your name (the name that will appear on sent emails). Tap Next.
- Gmail returns you to the setup screen. Select Take me to Gmail to access your email inbox.
Professional Email is on your Android device and you're ready to go!
