Style.css editing help needed

I have a free WP theme that I like and it has a choice of four colours. I was wondering how I might apply a custom colour, primarily for the tabs you can see at www.MiramichiReader.ca. I cannot seem to locate where to do this, or what code to add to change the colour.

@Miramichi_jim,

Trying to change menu tab color or post tab color?...

The theme is using Inline CSS for menu tab color or post tab color, view index source code...

Looking forward to hear from you...

Thanks, I will look at the index page, I did manage to change the nav bar colour in style.css.

EDIT: I could not see anything in index.php that would allow me to change colours.

@Miramichi_jim,

id = "viomag-widgets-fp-styles-inline-css"

Please search for the above string to change menu tab and post tab color...

Thank you

Thanks, but there is nothing like that in index.php or styles.css.

@Miramichi_jim,

I don't think cPanel allows to recursively search properties!, anyway do this...

Open up VioMag root folder in Notepad++ or Sublime Text, and search for the below strings;

.widget-title-tab,

.mag-widget-widget-title,

Apply the same principles for other strings that you want to change...

After locating the strings!, change in production...

Hope this helps

Praveen, this is what I found:

.widget-title-tab {
    line-height: 1.5;
    padding:7px 14px 5px;
    padding:0.5rem 1rem 0.3571428571428571rem;
    display:inline-block;
    background-color:#f2f2f2;
    color:#444;

However, changing these colours had no effect. I'm not sure what #444 represents though.

Thanks for your help.
