I need to renew my standard SSL. It's set to auto renewal on the GD site. One GD associate said I had to rekey, do redirects and complete a number of complicated processes or I could have it completed by GD for a $200.00 fee. Another associate said I didn’t need to do anything. Which is it? The email I received makes it sounds like I don’t need to do anything.
I haven’t lost my private key
I haven’t moved to a new server
I haven’t changed the SSL’s domain
I don’t want to change the SSL’s issuing organization

As long as you've got the SSL setup properly now and have it set to auto-renew, you should be fine.
If something goes wrong with the certification, just call in and GoDaddy can correct the issue and it should cost nothing.
Anyone feeding to you that you have to do that kind of thing is trying to meet their sales minimum, and not looking out for your best interests. GoDaddy does have services to set up SSLs and such, but yours doesn't need to be setup. Just renewed. You should be fine.
