301 Redirection Your connection is not private NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

I setup a 301 redirection from my old domain into a new one but keeps getting this error on the Chrome browser. It seems like the redirect doesn't work. Tried both on http and https too.

However, when I tried opening Firefox, the redirect seems to be fine. Not really sure what is happening. I contacted live chat support and they said everything was setup correctly and nothing wrong with my redirection setup. Anyone has any thoughts?

If you are using the forwarding feature at the DNS level to forward from HTTPS://domain1.com to HTTPS://domain2.com

this is not supported - You can only do HTTPS on domain2.com as the GoDaddy forwarding system does not support / generate an SSL certificate for domain1.com
